Being there live: a unique experience.
In the digital world, seeing events live is becoming – more than ever – a very special experience. Live events appeal to people on all sensory levels, a fact which is of enormous significance for conveying brand values and product messages. Things which people experience live are retained long-term in their associative memory. The most immediate ‘live’ experience is still sport.Whether it be big events like a football world cup, or regional competitions, sport brings people together and builds up emotions. The importance of events in brand communication and sport is continuing to rise rapidly; emotional experiences create lasting recall value.
If you like variety, don’t like doing the same thing every day, and are always looking for new challenges, the event industry offers you a broad and booming field.
‘Sports and event management’ teaches you how to plan, manage and evaluate communication which people can really experience. It covers all the skills you will need as a future manager of ‘live’ experiences: from the fundamentals of sports management and event management, to media, marketing, the development of organizations and personnel, right through to event psychology.
During your Event Management studies you will have the opportunity to try out the theoretical principles you have acquired by working with the latest technologies (e.g. mobile eye-tracking laboratory) and carrying out concrete projects. Incidentally, our students often meet their future employers while completing real projects in the business world.
