What is your current mantra – in life or in your profession? What keeps you moving ahead?

As a designer, I am always proud to see that I’m influencing the world positively by offering better design solutions. I believe that a good designer is also a good problem solver and communicator. It’s highly motivating for me to see that the products I designed make a difference in the lives of customers.

What is your current job all about? What makes you excited about it?

Currently, I’m a product designer specialized in User Experience working in the field of e-mobility energy solution. The most exciting aspect of this role is that I am among the people who are driving the energy transition in Germany. I’m contributing to make an emission free future possible.

To what extent do you think the university and the study experience prepared you for your career?

At Macromedia, there were a lot of opportunities to interface with the industry and learn from innovative companies. Therefore, we were always up to date about the latest industry trends, new technologies and developments. This was extremely helpful in preparing me for my career.

In terms of collaborating with real companies and practical experiences during your studies – which experience did you like best and why?

Working on a team project with BOSCH was one of the best experiences I had at Macromedia. It was a great opportunity to see a real company’s perspectives on Design Thinking and use it to address actual business challenges they are facing.

Why did you choose to study at the Macromedia University? Would you recommend Macromedia University to a friend?

I chose Macromedia because of its international environment and excellent professors.
I would definitely recommend Macromedia to anyone who wants to study media or design in an international environment.

What are your favourite memories from your time at the university?

That definitely would be the many late nights I spent working on projects with my classmates. The excursion to Italy with the whole class was also a memorable event for all of us.

How was your experience with your fellow students while studying? Are you still in touch with them?

I had the chance to cooperate with different people from different cultural backgrounds. It is very interesting and challenging at the same time. It’s already been over a year since I graduated but I still keep in touch with my classmates and professors. They are the people I have known the longest since I moved to Germany.

What is your attitude towards change in general? Is a positive attitude towards change important in your professional life?

Change is important to make things better. I believe in self-development. Even a small change that can help me to become better is highly motivating for me.

What is your take on digital transformation?

Digital transformation is inevitable. I think, as professionals, we should keep our eyes open for new opportunities and always continue developing our skills so we can actively be part of it.

What are your goals for the future?

My goal is to use my passion for design to change the world and try to make it better anyway I can.
