Interview

Where do you work today and what is your job title there?

I currently work at New Flag GmbH as a Junior International Sales Manager.

What does your current role entail?

Key activities include building and maintaining client relationships, expanding to new markets with our brands and tracking sales goals.

Did you imagine you’d be doing this kind of work before you started your studies?

Not at all, that’s why Macromedia played a very important role in my life. From kickstarting my career to making amazing friendships.

How did the teachers and projects at the university prepare you for what you're doing today?

The numerous practical projects and collaborations with companies helped me build my analytical and communication skills – which eventually shaped the skill set I needed in my career today.

Where did you do your internship semester and how would you evaluate your experiences?

I did my internship semester at New Flag as well, and was fortunate enough to stay on in the company ultimately securing a full time role after my studies.

How was your contact with your fellow students? Are you still in touch today?

Yes we are still in touch, I was lucky to be in a class with great people who I now consider my second family!

When you think back to your studies, what really stands out?

The guidance I received from my professors, the experience I gained through company projects and the friendships I made.

Do you know where you want to be in 10 years time?

I’d like to be in a leadership role preferably still within the same industry, but things can always change! 🙂

Is there any advice you would like to share with our freshmen?

Show up and be open to every experience that comes your way. The opportunities are endless!
