Macromedia University of Applied Sciences has launched a pioneering cooperation with NVIDIA that demonstrates the university’s innovative strength and future-oriented approach. Initiated by the Dean of Studies in Munich, Prof Dr Mohamed Badr, Macromedia will be working closely with the leading tech giant in the future. To mark the start of this partnership, students had the unique opportunity last week to become the first university in Germany to visit NVIDIA and gain in-depth insights into its technologies and career opportunities.
Kicking off the day with a fascinating virtual tour led by Liisa Wildlund, Executive Briefing Centre Manager at NVIDIA, the students were able to experience first-hand the diverse applications of NVIDIA software and hardware. Afterwards, an informal get-together with refreshments provided an opportunity to share first impressions and make valuable connections. The main event of the day was a series of inspiring presentations: Sabina Sury, University Recruitment at NVIDIA, provided information on exciting internship opportunities and provided promising prospects for the students. Andreas Vorreiter, Senior HR Professional, gave a comprehensive overview of a career at NVIDIA and the paths open to students. Patrick Yahya, Senior Brand Manager Central Europe, gave insight into the consumer market and highlighted the future trends that will shape NVIDIA. A special highlight was the end of the day in NVIDIA’s own garage. Here, the students were given an exclusive insight into autonomous driving and were able to experience the company’s innovative developments first hand.
“The collaboration with NVIDIA is a milestone for our university and shows how we prepare our students for a successful career with unique opportunities,” says Tina Blumenberg, Head of Career Services at Macromedia. “The fact that we were the first university in Germany to visit NVIDIA emphasises the close and innovative partnership we maintain with industry partners.”
NVIDIA is equally enthusiastic: “We are delighted to be working with Macromedia,” says Patrick Yahya, Senior Brand Manager Central Europe. “This collaboration is an important step for us in fostering young talent from an early stage and getting them excited about the challenges and opportunities of the tech industry. We see Macromedia as a strong partner with whom we can realize exciting projects and strive for a constant exchange.”
This collaboration is further evidence of Macromedia University’s commitment to providing students with hands-on, future-focused learning opportunities. Working closely with leading tech companies such as NVIDIA ensures that students make valuable connections and are well prepared for their future careers.
