Argentina or Australia, Spain or South Korea: Macromedia University will assist you in finding the perfect location for your semester abroad.

At our partner universities, you will be taught according to the curriculum of the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences and can take exams that are fully recognised. That way, you won’t lose any time on your way to your degree during your semester abroad.

Go abroad! These options are available

Study at a partner university
The 6+1 programme with our bachelor’s degree course includes an integrated semester abroad, which you spend at one of Macromedia University’s partner universities.
Scholarship at a partner university
You can finance some or all of your stay abroad with an attractive scholarship such as Erasmus+ or PROMOS. We are glad to advise you.
Voluntary semester abroad
Even if your degree programme doesn’t include an optional semester abroad, you can still study at one of our partner universities if you wish.

First option: the 6+1 programme

In the 6+1 programme, you study six semesters in Germany and one semester at one of our partner universities, where you will be taught according to our curriculum. This programme is currently available for the following bachelor’s degree courses:

  • Media Management
  • Management
  • Design
  • Film and Television

Second option: scholarship abroad

You can apply for a scholarship to finance your semester abroad. There are a number of ways to do this, such as the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, the PROMOS Programme run by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Thomas Heinrich Scholarship, which is funded by the Heinrich family and Macromedia University of Applied Sciences.

Third option: voluntary semester abroad

If your bachelor’s or master’s programme at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences doesn’t include an optional semester, that’s not a problem, because you can still spend a semester at one of our partner universities. Contact our international office, whose staff help you plan your voluntary semester abroad.
