Background of Brigitte Kleinselbeck

Prof. Kleinselbeck is an expert in brand management and marketing with areas of special interest in account planning, digital strategies, co-creation, business development, intercultural studies and scenario techniques. Prior to joining the university, she worked as a brand consultant and was marketing director at Apassionata, business development director at the Massine Group and senior account director and planner at Publicis Berlin. As the head of innovation, she was involved in the Publicis Group’s Innovation Network and was responsible for clients such as easyJet, DHL, DaimlerChrysler Services, DB Schenker, KarstadtQuelle and Berliner Sparkasse.

Prof. Dr. Kleinselbeck completed her studies in marketing and communication at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin before winning a Fulbright scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin where she gained a Master of Arts in Advertising. Returning to Germany, she obtained her PhD in values in international communication at the Freie Universität Berlin. In teaching and science, she worked at the Innovation Center for Digital Communication at the Institute for Electronic Business, an institute of the University of the Arts, Berlin and the Publicis Academy.

Prof. Dr. Kleinselbeck focuses heavily on people in her work and strives to ignite a passion for collecting and interpreting consumer insights in her students as well as provide them with in-depth knowledge about their role in branding and communication processes.
