Background of Mohamed Badr

Currently living and working in Munich, Germany, his educational background includes three master degrees and a Ph.D. granted from prestigious European universities, i.e. La Sapienza University of Rome (Rome, Italy), Rome University of Fine Arts (Rome, Italy), Macromedia University for applied Sciences (Munich, Germany) and Alexandria University (Alexandria, Egypt).

Prof. Dr. Badr’s broad professional experience, which encompasses diplomacy, management, business consultancy and education, was gained in many diverse business projects for international organizations both in private and public sectors.

Mohamed Badr started his career in the nineties as a financial analyst in the energy and petroleum sector in the Middle East; his responsibilities covered conduction of detailed financial analyses to provide a clear and concise financial picture to high level internal and external stakeholders and delivered recommendations that allowed critical business decisions to be made.

The cosmopolitan then joined the diplomatic service. He has been assigned on his first mission to Italy and had mission’s renewal till 2010 due to his outstanding performance. During this period Prof. Dr. Badr created, developed and implemented strategic government 2 government and UN projects on the bilateral and multilateral basis.

Prof. Dr. Badr moved to Germany in 2011, where he joined Reuters Consulting group and successfully lead teams for the creation and implementation of growth strategies for major multi-national insurance and financial MNCs. Among the projects led is the establishment of the expatriates business unit for the world’s largest insurance company; the Allianz group in Munich, In addition to successful merger and acquisition transactions.

Mohamed Badr is the founder of Badr Consulting in Munich. Founded in 2014 the company’s main objective is delivering advice, guidance and comprehensive economic and business analysis to organizations to aid the development and implementation of strategic international communication, Innovation and marketing strategies. Badr consulting conducted numerous successful projects among them the implementation of international business and communication strategies for Euro Stoxx 50 companies.

Prof. Dr. Badr is the head of the international Media and Communication management bachelor program at campus Munich since 2014. In addition, he is heading the University of Westminster joint program since 2016.
