Macromedia University of Applied Sciences has forged a groundbreaking partnership with NVIDIA, showcasing the institution’s commitment to innovation and forward-thinking education. Spearheaded by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Badr, Dean of Studies in Munich, this collaboration marks a significant step toward deeper engagement with the global tech leader. To inaugurate this alliance, Macromedia students recently became the first university cohort in Germany to visit NVIDIA, gaining unparalleled insights into its cutting-edge technologies and career pathways.
The visit commenced with an engaging virtual tour led by Liisa Wildlund, Executive Briefing Centre Manager at NVIDIA. Students explored the diverse applications of the company’s software and hardware, offering them an immersive understanding of its technological ecosystem. Following the tour, an informal networking session with refreshments allowed attendees to exchange initial impressions and establish valuable connections.
A series of thought-provoking presentations formed the core of the event. Sabina Sury, from University Recruitment at NVIDIA, introduced students to a variety of internship opportunities, while Andreas Vorreiter, Senior HR Professional, provided an extensive overview of career prospects within the company. Patrick Yahya, Senior Brand Manager Central Europe, delved into the evolving consumer market and upcoming trends shaping NVIDIA’s trajectory. A standout moment of the visit was the exclusive access to NVIDIA’s garage, where students witnessed firsthand the company’s pioneering work in autonomous driving.
“The visit was a successful start to our collaboration,” emphasises Prof. Dr. Mohamed Badr. “The cooperation with NVIDIA is of particular importance to us, as the company is recognised as a leading innovator in the industry and is setting new standards for artificial intelligence. This gives our students unique access to the developments and technologies of the future.”
“The collaboration with NVIDIA is a milestone for our university and shows how we prepare our students for a successful career with unique opportunities,” says Tina Blumenberg, Head of Career Services at Macromedia. “The fact that we were the first university in Germany to visit NVIDIA emphasises the close and innovative partnership we maintain with industry partners.”
NVIDIA is equally enthusiastic: “We are delighted to be working with Macromedia,” says Patrick Yahya, Senior Brand Manager Central Europe. “This collaboration is an important step for us in fostering young talent from an early stage and getting them excited about the challenges and opportunities of the tech industry. We see Macromedia as a strong partner with whom we can realize exciting projects and strive for a constant exchange.”
This initiative exemplifies Macromedia University’s dedication to providing students with experiential learning opportunities that align with industry demands. Collaborations with leading tech companies like NVIDIA ensure that students gain practical exposure and build networks essential for their professional futures.
