Research & Publication Academic Events

The university is the organiser and venue of renowned national and international academic conferences. Examples include various German conferences and symposia with specialist groups of the “German Society for Journalism and Communication Studies” (German: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Publizistik- und Kommunikationswissenschaft, or DGPuK) in Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart and Munich, but also international events, for example in cooperation with the “European Media Management Association” (EMMA) in Munich, the “European Communication Research and Education Association” (ECREA) in Cologne or the “European Public Relations Education and Research Association” (EUPRERA) in Berlin and Cologne.
