Barmeina Insurance Campaign: Macromedia wins award

“Barmenia. Einfach. Fallenlassen.” A catchy slogan for a creative campaign. Macromedia students from our Munich Campus thought up the phrase for Barmenia Insurance’s new E-scooter coverage- an idea that won them silver prize at the GWA Junior Agency Day. Our Munich students were led by Prof. Hansjörg Zimmermann, with additionally coaching from: David Stephan, Martin Eggert, and Nadja Bergelt- all three of whom work for the agency ‘David and Martin’.

What goes into creating a successful advertising campaign? Students across Germany set out to answer this question in hopes of winning over a panel of judges at the GWA Junior Agency Day. Started in 2002, this once-a-semester competition challenges university students to create a creative campaign for a real client. Market analysis, strategic planning, creative implementation- just a short list of the tools the students are expected to comprehend and utilize for the campaigns proposals.

Agencies- in the case Macromedia’s Munich team, David and Martin- support each team and guide them along the right path. The highlight of the competition is a daylong conference where each team has 25 minutes to pitch their ideas. We could not be more proud of our Munich students for their silver prize!

Witty slogan and clever marketing ploy

The Macromedia Munich team was tasked with coming up with a creative campaign for Barmenia Insurance’s new E-scooter coverage. The students study in either Macromedia’s ‘Brand Communications and Management’ or ‘Media and Communications Management’ Bachelor’s degrees. The end result? Nothing short of genius. With a wisely chosen target age, the Macromedia team set to work creating a playful and lighthearted campaign sure to catch the attention of E-scooters’ most viable audience. They managed to create a clever campaign that simultaneously captured heart of new-age mobility with the reliability of a well-found insurance provider. Well played! Congrats on your win!
