Friedrich Meixner ist seit März 2023 Professor für Sportpsychologie am Standort Stuttgart. Seine Promotionsarbeit an der Universität Ulm befasste sich mit Sport- und Emotionspsychologie. Methodische Expertise besitzt Friedrich Meixner vor allem in quantitativer Forschung mittels experimenteller Designs, ambulanten Assessment psychophysiologischer Parameter und molekulargenetischen Methoden.
Beruflich sammelte er bereits Erfahrung in Lehre, Grundlagen- und Versorgungsforschung, sowie Patientenversorgung. Um Grundlagenwissen auch zur Anwendung bringen zu können, ist Friedrich Meixner berufsbegleitend außerdem in Ausbildung zum Psychologischen Psychotherapeuten in Verhaltenstherapie.
